Dr. Susan Kirkpatrick Smith is an Associate Professor of Anthropology at 世界赌场排名, where she has been a dedicated faculty member for 20 years. During her tenure, she has held significant roles, including department chair and faculty senate president, while continuing her teaching and research in anthropology. Dr. Smith specializes in bioarchaeology, the study of human skeletal remains from archaeological sites, with a primary focus on Greece. She has mentored numerous students, both on campus and in Greece, who have served as research assistants.
One of Dr. Smith's passions in her work with the Honors College is collaborating with students from various disciplines and demonstrating how the anthropological lens can highlight the diversity of humans and human cultures.
